Prairie Point Junction Challenge

We're celebrating Prairie Point Junction's 15th Anniversary with a contest celebrating our namesake.

Customers were invited to submit a project including at least one Prairie Point somewhere on their design.  Photos of the entries we've received are posted below.

Please take a moment to vote for your viewers choice favorite in our two categories (Quilts and Other) in the comments on this post.  Vote now through August 31st.  Winners will be announced in our September 6th e-mail newsletter and on our blog.

Entry # 1:  Folded Circle Centerpiece, pattern by DJ Richards Design.  Each layer consists of folded triangles.  This quilter's sister saw a 13" tablerunner done in this style.  The quilter says, "She asked if I could make one for her.  I have now made 15 pieces including placemats, snowflakes, and table runners.  They are spread over 4 states in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Georgia.

Entry # 11:  Tablerunner
These were orphan blocks brought to a quilt guild meeting that no one wanted, so this quilter took them and made several table runners.  This runner was finished with prairie points as a sample for a class that she was teaching on finished edges for quilts.

Quilt category - #11. I like the use of prairie points in the corners to add interest to the border while not taking away from the center.
Other category - #5. What a delightful way to showcase the edge, which is what will be seen on a table topper.
