And the Winner Is . . .

Thanks to all the creative artists that entered our Valentine Wool Felt Challenge.

The winner of our $20.00 Gift Certificate is Kathy Cooper.

We loved her combination of techniques to create this project.

Kathy designed the eyeglass case herself - using black wool felt for the pocket. The heart is made from white, red, and pink wool felt that she felted together then stitched to the black. She used a heart shaped paper punch to punch holes in the pink felt. The leaf was felted with brown and olive roving onto green felt.

Thanks for sharing your project with us, Kathy!

Here's a little gallery of some of our other favorite entries to inspire you . . .

Linda, from Racine, WI, made this doll applique to decorate a t-shirt for her daughter who happens to love "dollies" very much.

Tina-Marie made this amazing birdhouse. The little birdie is wearing his heart on his sleeve. You can check out her etsy shop for even more creative ideas.

Jackie, from Maple Valley, WA created this original Valentine Banner.

Leah from Cartersville, Georgia, made this candle mat. She added her own personal variations to adapt the Hearts and Flowers candle mat pattern from Bareroots.

Jill, from Reno, Nevada, created this "Loving Retirement" quilt to showcase nine things she is loving about retirement.

Jennifer made this Mama and Baby Owl for her 5 year old daughter, Cora. (Hi Cora! Keep up that love for wool felt!). Love that the little baby owl fits into the Mama's heart pouch.

Thanks to everyone that shared their creations. Look for another challenge in April.
